You can contact us on +44 207 293 0000 between 9:30am-6pm GMT, Monday through Saturday. You are welcome to have guests through the daytime, and an overnight guest for a fair and reasonable length, to be decided by the team on site. Your guests will need to check in with the reception team, and you will be responsible for them throughout their stay. Please note, you will need written consent from management if you overnight guest is under 18 years of age.
All Chapter residents need to be over 18 from the time of moving in. This is due to the legally binding tenancy agreement that each resident is required to sign before arrival. We have no upper age limits on our accommodation, so long as the resident is in full time education for the duration of their stay.
In the UK, students are exempt from paying council tax – you won’t need to pay this, but if the council do mistakenly bill you, you will need to provide details to prove that you are in full time education.
If you bring your own TV, or want to watch or record programmes as they are shown live (including on mobile phones, tablets or computers), you will need to apply and pay for a TV License. Any TV’s provided by Chapter, either in a shared living space or communal area will have a TV License sorted.
If you’re having any problems with your room, a shared living space, or one of the communal areas, you have two options. You can log the issue using the Active Building resident portal, providing details so our maintenance team can get this sorted for you as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can come down to your reception and talk to a member of staff so we can log it on your behalf.
We want your university experience to be as positive as possible – if you are having any issues with flat mates, please let us know. We will do our best to help resolve any problems you might be having.
Your flat has its own lockable mailbox, which you will receive a key to when you check in. If any larger packages, or anything that requires a signature arrives for you, we’ll hold onto it and let you know so you can come and collect it. For security reasons, you will need to provide photo ID and give a signature to confirm collection. Post will not be given out to other residents on your behalf without written authorisation.
Two people can share some of the bigger studios at our properties, which will add an additional £100 per week to the rent. Please contact us directly if this is something you’d like to organise this. Please note, both inhabitants need to be full time students, studying at least 20 hours per week.
All rooms come with a bed, desk and chair. Extras such as kettles, toasters and lamps vary property to property, room to room. Please check the room details on the website or contact the relevant property directly to find out what will be included in the room you have booked.
Unfortunately, we are only able to offer accommodation to people in full time education, studying a minimum of 20 hours per week. We can also accommodate students on internships and sandwich courses, on the provision that the placement is directly related to your course of study, and you will be returning to full time study when it finishes. If you are not sure whether you qualify, please contact the sales team.
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has evolved, we have made changes to our business practices based on the latest public health recommendations. We are temporarily ceasing all in-person property tours and meetings with prospective residents. Instead, we invite you to use our website to explore our individual sites virtually. You can also talk to our team by phone or online if you would like to book directly.
