New Year's Eve is a magical experience in London, however you decide to celebrate it. Whether you're looking to party until dawn or simply catch the fireworks from a city rooftop, there really is something for everyone. London New Year’s Eve Fireworks The city’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display is famous across the world, but you’ll need to be quick if you want to be in the thick of it as tickets sell fast. Don’t worry though, The Mayor of London’s fireworks light up the capital’s skyline and can be seen from across the city, so if you’re celebrating in a venue nearby, you’ll likely be able to catch a glimpse anyway. The Sky Lounge at is the perfect viewing spot if you want to get yourself setup there for the evening.
Creatures of the Night at the Natural History Museum Calling all night owls… Ever fantasised about partying in a museum surrounded by animal fossils and a giant blue whale? Bet you have now. The Natural History Museum is celebrating creatures of the night this NYE with a jammed packed schedule of activities. From musical bingo and a UV lit Museum of the Moon silent disco, to nocturnal animal mask making and dancing the night (or year) away to a live band and DJ. This is one wild night that you won’t forget.
Skylight at Tobacco Dock Featuring a rooftop ice skating rink, private igloos, street food, cocktails and DJ’s – what more could you ask for to celebrate New Year’s Eve? If you couldn’t get tickets to the Mayor’s fireworks, don’t worry, because they’ll be shown live on a dozen screens across the venue to make sure you’re ready for the countdown. You’ll also get a complementary glass of champers upon arrival to set you off for a fabulous 2020.
New Year’s Eve Comedy Carnival Want to go into 2020 laughing? Instead of the typical bar and fireworks scenario, why not book onto a comedy show as part of the London’s Comedy Carnival in Leicester Square and Clapham? Featuring familiar-faced comedians from Live At The Apollo and Mock The Week, a night at the Comedy Carnival will have you celebrating NYE in stitches. The show will finish at 10pm then you’ll have exclusive access to a fantastic club night to ring in the New Year – we think that’s the perfect combination.
Duck & Waffle Fancy seeing in the New Year against a jaw-dropping backdrop of the city? Duck & Waffle is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so they know how to host a party into the early hours. Whether you want to book an early festive dinner before heading out to watch the fireworks, a table at the bar to ensure you have a drink in hand for the countdown, or even a sunrise after party kicking off at 2am – you really can have it all on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate.
Skate at Somerset House One of London’s most spectacular ice rinks will be open late for New Year’s Eve this year – time to skate and celebrate. Somerset House is teaming up with House Gospel Choir to throw the ultimate NYE party straight from the ice. You’ll also have access to the magical River Terrace which offers spectacular views of the city fireworks, plus a selection of pop-up eateries, including treats from Fortnum & Mason, to ensure you’re seeing in 2020 in style.
NYE Pre-Celebrations at Chapter Don't forget, we’ll be kick starting the 2020 countdowns across many of our Chapter properties this New Year’s Eve with festive pre-celebration parties.
