Chinese New Year 2017

Published: 27 Jan 17

It's time to bid farewell to the Year of the Monkey and welcome in the Year of the Rooster.

Each year the Chinese lunisolar calendar is represented by one of the 12 zodiac animals and it is said that a person born in that year has the traits of that animal. So anyone born between 23rd January 1993 and 9th February 1994 would be a Rooster.

Lucky Numbers: 5, 7, 8
Lucky Colours: Gold, Brown, Yellow
Strengths: Independant, warm-hearted, quick minded
Weaknesses: Impatient, critical, narrow-minded

Your perfect matches: Ox or Snake

This year, we celebrated Chinese New Year on Wednesday 25th January in the 32nd Floor Bar at Chapter Spitalfields. This time round, we didn't have a dancing lion but we had lots of fun with Chinese Dumplings, traditional snacks, bubble tea, drinks, a DJ, karaoke and lots of fun games.
